Ah the infamous Hydlide. Many a child's heart was broken if they had the misfortune of receiving this game as either a Christmas or birthday present indeed.

The game is not as bad you hear as it's playable and has some charm. But its repetitive nature and monotonous music theme that plays throughout the game inflicts severe emotional scars that take time to heal.

In short, Hydlide is a somewhat boring and mediocre game that has very little variety or challenge. Make sure you try Super Hydlide for the Sega Genesis though as it has a superb soundtrack and is much more fun.
